Ep. 9: Shiela Burgers ft. Jojos

Hey folks! 💛

We are back with another nostalgic bite, from my Aunt Shiela. We are getting down and dirty with the ground beef.

To give you a little context—my Aunt was hard to put into words
she was a dynamic character—eccentric is the word my brother would use.

She shocked me; scolded me; tucked me; scooped me; held me; protected me—and above all else—she loved me.

She taught me everything I know about Love—and if I am able to impart, even a fraction, of what she gave to me, I would die a happy individual. When to be soft and pliable, and when to buck up and “stick to my guns”.

She was my hero.

Anywho—here are the ingredients y’all will need, at least:

Ground Beef

Seasonings (Salt, Pepper, Garlic/Onion Powder)

Cheese

Veggies (Onions, Pickles, Tomatoes)

Sauce (Ketchup/BBQ)

Step 1: Put your Beef in a pan and season!
Step 4: CUT into desired portions—4 is typic.
Step 7: Photograph your hard work!
Step 2: Press down the beef in the pan.
Step 5: Add some cheese!
Step 3: Prepare your ingredients!
Step 6: Fry your Jojos—I fried mine in beef fat. 😛

Today was a particularly exciting day: my sister, my niece and I toot’a’loo’d today. She flexed her spontaneous muscle and treated my niece and I to a beautiful brunch at Brails on 5th, here in Eugene Oregon.

(Unfortunately we scarfed our food down before we could take any photos!)

After breakfast, we continued on to “The World’s Largest Indoor Garage Sale”—not to underscore the event, but it really isn’t the “Worlds Largest”—exciting title, tho. haha

My niece scored a 3-D Printed Dragon, and few packs of PokĂ©mon Cards—-after settling our debts and headed home.

Once home, my niece and I disembarked to the Mall(through the rain—our little feet were soaking wet). We wondered, grabbed some boba x2 (my niece bought a boba-neck lace at a nearby store), found some Pixi Dust candy at Candy-Tyme—and eventually made our way home. Soaked and tear-laiden, my niece melted into my sister’s arms—happy to be dry and warm once again.

Anyway. I’m pooped.

Love ya!

Daniel out. 💛
