Ep. 22: Buffalo Ballz ft. the noisy neighbor—Daniel

Okay, I surrender—it was me. I was out late, past my bedtime, and I got scolded. I knew I shouldn’t have had that non-alcoholic Ginger Beer—it was too good to be true.

While finishing up the veggies and balls (I shoved the ‘taters back into the oven—from the last episode. See here: Ep. 21: Veggie Bake ft. Beyoncé in my Oven) my roommate scolded me for cooking too late 9:30pm-10:15pm. 45 minutes of cooking.

I cooked them the night before—and broiled them to reheat them. (Not seen here)

Okay, I definitely was not being “noise-considerate”—and might have banged or bumped a couple pots or pans. Oops. I sincerely apologize—and hope that forgive their noisy neighbor—Daniel.

Today’s recipe: Buffalo Ballz—featuring: Turkey, Jalapeño, Onions, and Buffalo Sauce. YUM.

I am a slut for Buffalo Sauce—which is new. It has only been the past couple of years that I have, literally, craved Buffalo sauce. I blame McDonalds. Their nuggets are dank with some Buffalo sauce.

The best bite of the night wasn’t even Ballz. It was a slice of Potato, Tomato, and Zucchini from the bake. Omg! I should have added more Tomato—and will most def next time. The sugars in the Tomato almost candy when baked show and low—adding a sweet and tangy flavor.

Flash forward to the morning after—bundled up with coffee, and The Beverley Hillbillies running in circles on the ‘tube, I am thankful for this moment.

I have a little bit of homework to do—record a video for PE, and maybe a quiz? Idk. I’ll have to find out.

I wish you, who find yourself reading this, a blessed day!

With love, Daniel 💛

Ingredients:

• Ground turkey

• Diced onion

• Diced jalapeno

• Bread crumbs

• Garlic powder

• Salt

• Black pepper

• Dried oregano

• Cajun seasoning

• Cooking spray or olive oil

• Buffalo sauce

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, diced onion, diced jalapeno, bread crumbs, garlic powder, salt, pepper, oregano, and Cajun seasoning. Mix everything together until well combined.

3. Form the mixture into small balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

4. Lightly spray or brush the tops of the Buffalo Ballz with cooking spray or olive oil.

5. Bake the Buffalo Ballz in the preheated oven until they are cooked through and lightly golden brown on top. Check for doneness by cutting into one of the balls to ensure it’s no longer pink inside.

6. Once cooked, remove the Buffalo Ballz from the oven. Using tongs or a spoon, coat each ball with Buffalo sauce while they’re still warm.

7. Serve your Buffalo Ballz hot as an appetizer with additional Buffalo sauce for dipping, or as a main dish alongside some veggies or a salad. Enjoy!

Feel free to adjust the amount of Buffalo sauce according to your preference for spiciness. Enjoy your delicious Buffalo Ballz!
