Hey folks! Welcome to Episode 37! Almost to episode 40! I wonder what special surprise is in store for us all! Hehe đ
Well, since coming back from Mexico, I am sorting through my photos, and silently reminiscingâcounting my days until I leave on my next adventure!
Between Guadalajara, and PVâthey both had their pros and cons. Neither of which were completely cockroach free, in my experience. YetâI suppose that is an unrealistic expectation when one is such a climate.
AnywayâI stayed a few places while in Guadalajaraâtrying to find a comfy spot to restâand not be fucking crawled on at night.
The first couple of nights I stayed at a town called âLas Pintasâ which was very close to the airportâI wasnât expecting to miss my flightsâso I made sure to stay by the airport. However, I decided to stay for a couple more days/weekâand ended up moving to the Centro District in downtown Guadalajara.
After PVâI didnât necessarily Plan on staying in GuadalajaraâI was planning on going to MExico Cityâhowever, I missed TWO FLIGHTS in the same dayâand decided to see what was around me. My first meal in Guadalajaraâwhich was very close to one of the airbnbâs I had bookedâunbeknownst to me, There are so many churchesâone could host a church tour, if they were inclined. Casa Dolores for Breakfast, before the city tour! It was a MUSTT GO-TO. City Tourâwas amazingâand would highly recommend. I preferred this City Tour over PV. Me, eating a random fruit that my guide handed me. The birds wanted their photo takenâbeing in a cage doesnât come with much excitement.Guadalajara has some of the most beautiful art. FREE FUCKING PALESTINE. Photo from my Airbnb WindowâI got very lucky. Day #1 was city tourâDay #2 was A HOT SPRING ADVENTURE! Divorced Chilaquilesâfor breakfast before our hike to the Hot Springs. Tracy (guest) and tour guide! We became fast friends! Tracy and I toured the beautiful city of Tlaquepaque! My first PulqueâI got Ginger, for some silly reason. California Roll, and Salmon roll, both deep fried!Ceviche Toasty This was our last meal of the day-before we departed. That day we had Sushi, (seen above), A ceveche toasty, and then tacos! The next day, after the HS adventureâTracy showed me the best stop to get a cheap and tasty toasty. Photo evidence of our breakfast. Maybe close to $5 USD Aqua-chili on the left, and toasty on the right. The Universe showed me a couple of cute things along my way. Validation that I was right on track. For lunch that same dayâI had to treat myself to a tamaleâfresh on the street. We got tuckered out from walkingâ-and decided to DIDI some food back to her apartment. The place was called âLasagnaââwe got Lasagna, no surprise. I met another friendâwho also went to massage school, like meâwe exchanged massages, and Reiki. Atocheâmy airbnb host (featured in the last photo), treated me to the tastiest tamale for breakfast. Her, and her husband were artistsâand partnered on this art pieceââSourceâ as I would call it.. This is how they pictured the universe being. Golden light emanating from a center point. Day 3, or 4âin the BIG G. We discovered a tasty spotâto share a Marlin Toastyâand a ceviche. ANDDDD, this was probably one of the bigggest treatsâshe showed me a dumpling placeâthat had colorful exteriors, and meat, or chocolate filled centers! We got a beef, and chocolate. I had to capture the owner! He was very friendly! I got their business cardâbut I think I lost it. đŚ It was called âDumplings IkuraââWELL WORTH THE VISIT YALL.
All, in allâI thoroughly enjoyed my time in Mexico! And, most of all, I am so thankful for all the people I metâand the kindness of strangers.
Without the Love, and Kindness that I received, from ABSOLUTE STRANGERSâthis trip would have been completely diffferent. But, it goes to show, that if you lead with Love, and KindnessâLove and Kindness will be returned. 10x.
So, in conclusionâif youâre debating between where to go, make sure you put Guadalajara on your listâI wouldnât stay any longer than 5 daysâafter a while, big cities start to wear one out. There are no small town vibes here folks.
AND FOR ALL OF YOU WONDERINGâI felt EXTREMELY SAFE, and Welcomed in Guadalajara. I felt safer in Guadalajara than Puerto Vallarta. With larger cities, you typically have more open-minded folks.
Well, thatâs all folks đŚ
Daniel out!
