Ep. 38: Casa Dolores! đź’› (Av. Fray Antonio Alcalde 22, Centro, 44100 Guadalajara, Jal., Mexico)

Hey folks! HAPPY EPISODE 38! I hope that wherever you might find yourself reading this—you are happy, healthy, and wealthy, in Love! 💛

So, the day of my city tour, of the beautiful city of Guadalajara, it was recommended to me to eat at this delicious eatery, with Live Mariachi! WTF.

When they said live mariachi, I was thinking it was just on a tv screen, or something—boy, was I wrong. THERE WERE LIVE MARIACHI FOLKS PLAYING OVER BREAKFAST. WTF. SO MAGICAL.

They offer you a beautiful house-bread—I got a banana bread type thing.
I wasn’t exactly happy with what I ordered—at this point, I could not handle the taste of a corn tortilla—for some reason. A soaked corn tortilla just didn’t sit well with my stomach.
This was a very delicious and super house made salsa—you could taste a “smoke” flavor to it, almost like a burned/roasted flavor. Not undesirable, Salty, and earthy.
This was another house made salsa, not as spicy—and very very delicious.
Wanting to settle my stomach, and finish my coffee—I ordered some fresh fruit. Let me tell ya’ll, I don’t typically like Watermelon, or Cantaloupe—but they just tasted so much different from what I had experienced state-side. Pineapple, Cantaloupe, Melon, JackFruit??, and Strawberry. I would have just been happy with this fruit platter, coffee, and my banana bread. Alas, you don’t know, what you don’t know.

So, this was Casa Dolores—and if my understanding is correct—there was a “sister restaurant”, across town.

10/10 for this eatery, y’all. The food, drinks, service, and overall atmosphere were top-notch!
