Ep. 45: Fish Frying Fiesta ft. Seasonal Allergies đŸ€§

Hey folks! Happy Sunday! It is my wish and prayer that whoever might be reading this is having a BLESSED DAY. 🩋

And it is my sincere wish that ya’ll allergies are MANAGED. Mine are going absolutely bonkers this season; I have tissue paper shoved up my nose.

Today, we are just hanging around the house: watching the clouds pass by
threatening to sprinkle, soak and leak.

I sit here, slightly fighting off the urge to sneeze. SEND ME STRENGTH. ⭐

My Pa surprised me with fresh Lingcod, and Salmon from his freezer; it was delicious! đŸ€€

For anyone who hasn’t had Lingcod before—it is very tasty. A little fisher tasting than typical Cod.

Summer time is right around the corner; and Summer break is happening now!

Honestly, after high school I stopped measuring my year based on “school time” v “summer time”, because when you are working a 9-5: YOU DON’T GET A SUMMER BREAK!

I also stopped paying attention to “Weekends” v “Weekdays” BECAUSE I always had to work on the weekends; so my days off were always in the middle of the week.

Having to work Saturday’s and Sunday’s from 11-8pm can definitely change one’s perspective. Moreover, when I started working NOC while Caregiving—let me tell you—that completely changed my perspective on time.

I used to have feelings about: early mornings, weekends, overnights, or summer break. Now, every day and every moment is just like every other day or moment. I learned that, only I, have the power to change how I feel about something.

It is so very often that we attempt to change our external environment to help us feel better within our internal environment—however, there will be moments in your life that you are unable to change the exterior, and you will have to change your internal environment.

There have been many things that have happened in my life that I have had a hard time accepting; until I realized I cannot change what had happened—I can only change how I feel about what happened.

Acceptance was always within my power, and always will be.

Well, enough wisdom from me, for right now, at least.
